REOPENING THE THEME PARK

In line with Government guidance, our Theme Park & Zoo are now open, along with our Resort Hotels, which you can find out more about here.

To allow for social distancing, we need to manage the number of guests we welcome each day. Everyone therefore, including Annual Passholders, needs to pre-book a ticket online to guarantee entry. See the FAQs below on how to do this.

THEME PARK

The majority of our rides and attractions will be open, however, current Government guidance does not allow some aspects of the Theme Park to reopen including soft-play attractions Dragon’s Playhouse and Temple of Mayhem, alongside outdoor playgrounds Canopy Capers and AMAZU Treetop Adventure. We have also taken the decision not to reopen Room on the Broom – A Magical Journey for the time being.   

With Government guidelines evolving however, we are reviewing daily the aspects of the Theme Park that are unavailable to see if we can make any changes - do keep checking back for the latest details.

 

We are being led by Government guidance and any updates from it in response to the coronavirus.

We are operating in the safest way possible for everyone with the introduction of new hygiene and safety measures, which you can find here

 

In line with current Government guidance, we have taken the decision to close our Rhino Lookout, the opportunity to see our Rothschild’s giraffe from the boardwalk in Wanyama Village & Reserve, AMAZU and our monkey walk through, areas in which social distancing is prohibitive.  

There is equally no ‘zoo-per encounters’ including animal talks or feeds.

However, with Government guidelines evolving, we are reviewing daily the aspects of the Zoo that are unavailable to see if we can make any changes - do keep checking back for the latest details.

You will have your temperature checked on arrival and we recommend that you bring and wear a suitable face mask/covering on your visit.

Please note that it is mandatory* to wear a securely fitted face mask on rides Vampire, KOBRA, Scorpion Express and Tuk Tuk Turmoil. Face Masks are available from the Adventure Point, in 4 designs. 

*Face masks/coverings are not required for children under 6 or for people with certain health conditions and/or disabilities.

We are in contact with our 3rd party provider, Picsolve and other alternative photography providers. We hope to have a solution in place before the Theme Park reopens and will provide an update here as soon as we can.

A number of our restaurants and food outlets are open - full list and more information here. Many of our restaurants and outlets are available to purchase as ‘grab and go’. We encourage everyone to make contactless payments rather than cash where possible.  

The majority of our gift shops are open, however the number of guests at any one time is limited to allow for social distancing and encourage everyone to make contactless payments rather than cash where possible.

Yes, please book their ticket at the same time as you book your own, which can be done by clicking here. If you've pre-booked a disabled carer ticket, you'll need to head to the admission kiosks on arrival and show relevant documentation in exchange for a ticket to scan at the turnstiles.

You will need to pre-book a ticket to guarantee entry on another day during our 2020 season, up to and including 1st November. Pre-book your ticket here. Please bring your existing ticket with you along with your reservation to show at our turnstiles on entry.

I had a Sun Superdays ticket to visit during the temporary closure, how do I re-book?

You will need to re-book your ticket for a new date to guarantee entry. Please present both your original Superdays e-ticket and new date booking confirmation at Chessington World of Adventures Resort on the day of your visit. You should have received an email from The Sun with the link to prebook already, but the link is also here.

I have a Sun Superdays ticket for 4th July or later, do I need to take any further action?

No, your Sun Superdays ticket is already pre-booked. On the day of your visit simply bring your Sun Superdays ticket to gain entry at our turnstiles.

We have relaxed our usual terms and conditions so that anyone who visited on a ‘Rainy Day’ in 2019 can return on a like-for-like day in 2020 - see terms and conditions here.

If you purchased your Chessington Annual Pass before 1st July 2019 and your pass is still valid (with the extensions following the closure period as a result of the coronavirus) you can pre-book up to 3 vouchers per Passholder here. On the day of your visit bring your pre-booked vouchers and your Chessington Annual Pass to purchase the tickets for entry from our Admissions Team.

I have a Kellogg’s cereal pack, how do I pre-book my ticket?

Your Kellogg’s cereal pack will have a unique code printed inside. Pre-book your ticket to guarantee entry by visiting  www.merlinfun.co.uk and follow the booking steps there.

I have a Kellogg’s snack pack voucher (e.g. Fruit Winders, Rice Krispie Squares), how do I pre-book my ticket?

  • To pre-book your Grown Ups Go Free ticket to guarantee entry (i.e. buy one child ticket get one free adult ticket), please click here.
  • To pre-book your Mates Go Free ticket to guarantee entry (i.e. buy one adult ticket get one adult ticket), please click here.

On arrival you will be required to present the promotional voucher along with your pre-booked e-ticket. If a valid voucher cannot be supplied, you'll be required to purchase your second ticket at our full gate price with our Admissions Team - please note entry is not guaranteed.

My voucher which is due to expire, what do I do?

The validity of all Kellogg’s 2019 vouchers (expiry date 30th June 2020) has been extended until 30th September 2020. The validity of 2020 vouchers (expiry date 30th June 2021) has been extended until 30th September 2021.

My voucher which is due to expire, what do I do?

The validity of all Cadbury’s 2019 Share Bag vouchers (expiry date 31st July 2020) has been extended until 30th September 2020.

If you had an experience booked up to and including 3rd July, this can be re-booked for another time later this year - email VIPExperiences@chessington.co.uk.  If you have an experienced booked from 4th July onwards, we will contact you if we need to make any changes to your booking. 

Go Ape at Chessington World of Adventures Resort remains temporarily closed, however we hope to announce a reopening date shortly – keep checking back for the latest details.    

Based on government guidelines we are currently unable to accept any school or group bookings however we will reintroduce this when possible.

In order to rearrange your visit for another date, please contact the Schools Call Centre on 0137 273 1680 and the Team will be able to help you.

Yes, there is a temporary, isolated coronavirus testing centre in one of our main car parks, which is being run by the Department for Health & Social Care and other partners. We are proud to be able to offer our assistance during this unprecedented time.
