PRE-BOOK ENTRY

In line with Government guidance, our Theme Park, Zoo and Resort Hotels are open and we're operating in the safest way possible for you, our staff and animals in our care.

To allow for social distancing, we need to manage the number of guests we welcome each day. Everyone therefore, including Annual Passholders, needs to pre-book a ticket online for entry. See the FAQs below for more information.

THEME PARK

The majority of our rides and attractions will be open, however, current Government guidance does not allow some aspects of the Theme Park to reopen including soft-play attractions Dragon’s Playhouse and Temple of Mayhem.

With Government guidelines evolving however, we are frequently reviewing the aspects of the Theme Park that are unavailable to see if we can make any changes - do keep checking back for the latest details.

 

We are being led by Government guidance and any updates from it in response to the coronavirus.

We are operating in the safest way possible for everyone with the introduction of new hygiene and safety measures, which you can find here

 

In line with current Government guidance, we have taken the decision to close our Rhino Lookout, the opportunity to see our Rothschild’s giraffe from the boardwalk in Wanyama Village & Reserve, our monkey walk through in AMAZU, areas in which social distancing is prohibitive.  

There is equally no ‘zoo-per encounters’ including animal talks or feeds.

However, with Government guidelines evolving, we are reviewing daily the aspects of the Zoo that are unavailable to see if we can make any changes - do keep checking back for the latest details.

You will have your temperature checked on arrival and we recommend that you bring and wear a suitable face mask/covering on your visit.

Please note that it is mandatory* to wear a securely fitted face mask on rides; Vampire, KOBRA, Scorpion Express, Tuk Tuk Turmoil, The Gruffalo River Ride Adventure & Tomb Blaster as well as public areas of the Resort Hotels (excluding restaurants and bar areas), SEA LIFE, all gift shops and arcades, the photo collection point, Guest Help and Information, First Aid and selected food and beverage outlets. Face Masks are available to purchase fro £5 each from the Adventure Point, in 5 designs.  

To account for the time our attractions have been closed, PomVom UK will be adding a 5-month extension onto all original expiry dates for annual DigiPasses that expire after 18th March 2020. If your pass extension falls during the winter period when some of our resorts are closed, they will further extend these passes to ensure you can make the most of your pass.  If you are looking to renew your pass, your 8-week renewal window will now be added to your new expiry date.

Annual DigiPasses that expired before 19th March 2020 will not be entitled to the extension period.

A number of our restaurants and food outlets are open - full list and more information here. Many of our restaurants and outlets are available to purchase as ‘grab and go’. We encourage everyone to make contactless payments rather than cash where possible. Our Zufari Bar & Grill and Azteca Restaurant is only available for Resort Hotel guests. 

The majority of our gift shops are open, however the number of guests at any one time is limited to allow for social distancing and encourage everyone to make contactless payments rather than cash where possible.

Face masks are mandatory in all gift shops, except for people with certain health conditions and/or disabilities. Children under 11 are not required to wear a face mask.

We are required by the UK Government to hold and potentially share basic information about our guests as part of the contact tracing scheme, NHS Test and Trace. This information will only be shared where necessary to help stop the spread of COVID-19 and support public health efforts. Guests have the right to object to their data being shared as part of contact tracing schemes by contacting Merlin Entertainments’ data protection team at the following address data.protection@merlinentertainments.biz

You're welcome to bring rucksacks and bags to the resort but we ask that you try to bring as few a bags as possible to ensure we can get you into the Resort as quickly as possible, as we have bag and security checks at the admissions entrance on arrival.

Yes, please book their ticket at the same time as you book your own, which can be done by clicking here. If you've pre-booked a disabled carer ticket, you'll need to head to the admission kiosks on arrival and show relevant documentation in exchange for a ticket to scan at the turnstiles.

You will need to pre-book a ticket for entry on another day during our 2020 season, up to and including 1st November. Pre-book your ticket here. Please bring your existing ticket with you along with your reservation to show at our turnstiles on entry.

I had a Sun Superdays ticket to visit during the temporary closure, how do I re-book?

You will have needed to re-book your ticket for a new date to guarantee entry before 31st July 2020 as per the email from The Sun at the end of June. Please present both your original Superdays e-ticket and new date booking confirmation at Chessington World of Adventures Resort on the day of your visit. 

I have a Sun Superdays ticket for 4th July or later, do I need to take any further action?

No, your Sun Superdays ticket is already pre-booked. On the day of your visit simply bring your Sun Superdays ticket to gain entry at our turnstiles.

 

We understand that in some circumstances or if you or one of your household is shielding you may require to change the date of your visit. Please email our Guest Help & Information Team on Feedback@chessington.co.uk to discuss rearranging your booking.

We have relaxed our usual terms and conditions so that anyone who visited on a ‘Rainy Day’ in 2019 can return on a like-for-like day in 2020 - see terms and conditions here.

If you purchased your Chessington Annual Pass before 1st July 2019 and your pass is still valid (with the extensions following the closure period as a result of the coronavirus) you can pre-book up to 3 vouchers per Passholder here. On the day of your visit bring your pre-booked vouchers and your Chessington Annual Pass to purchase the tickets for entry from our Admissions Team.

Yes, you will need to pre-book here and ensure you have the relevant documentation to bring with you. On arrival, please take relevant documentation to an admissions host at our entrance to be issued with a ticket to scan on the turnstiles.

Yes, you can use your Magic Pass - the link will be provided through your HR department. Please note that capacity is limited and pre-booking is essential for your visit. You'll need to bring your pre-booked ticket and magic passes to admissions on arrival in exchange for a ticket that will scan at the turnstiles.

I have a Kellogg’s cereal pack, how do I pre-book my ticket?

Your Kellogg’s cereal pack will have a unique code printed inside. Pre-book your ticket for entry by visiting  www.merlinfun.co.uk and follow the booking steps there.

I have a Kellogg’s snack pack voucher (e.g. Fruit Winders, Rice Krispie Squares), how do I pre-book my ticket?

  • To pre-book your Grown Ups Go Free ticket to guarantee entry (i.e. buy one child ticket get one free adult ticket), please click here.
  • To pre-book your Mates Go Free ticket to guarantee entry (i.e. buy one adult ticket get one adult ticket), please click here.

On arrival you will be required to present the promotional voucher along with your pre-booked e-ticket. If a valid voucher cannot be supplied, you'll be required to purchase your second ticket on your phone at our full gate price if capacity is available.

My voucher which is due to expire, what do I do?

The validity of all Kellogg’s 2019 vouchers (expiry date 30th June 2020) has been extended until 30th September 2020. The validity of 2020 vouchers (expiry date 30th June 2021) has been extended until 30th September 2021.

My voucher which is due to expire, what do I do?

The validity of all Cadbury’s 2019 Share Bag vouchers (expiry date 31st July 2020) has been extended until 30th September 2020.

If you had an experience booked up to and including 3rd July, this can be re-booked for another time later this year - email VIPExperiences@chessington.co.uk.  If you have an experienced booked from 4th July onwards, we will contact you if we need to make any changes to your booking. 

Go Ape at Chessington World of Adventures Resort is now open and you can book here. If you had booked for a date when we were closed, you can re-book your visit for free by emailing us  at Chessington.GoApe!@goape.co.uk.

Based on government guidelines we are currently unable to accept any school or group bookings however we will reintroduce this when possible.

In order to discuss to your booking or rearrange your visit for another date, please contact the Schools Call Centre on 0137 273 1680 and the Team will be able to help you.

Yes, there is a temporary, isolated coronavirus testing centre in one of our main car parks, which is being run by the Department for Health & Social Care and other partners. We are proud to be able to offer our assistance during this unprecedented time.

You can pre-order your buggy's online, in advance of your visit here. Single buggy hire is £10 and double buggy hire is £15. You buggy will available for collection from the Lodge entrance on arrival.
