Why Choose Chessington for Your Next School Trip?

Chessington World of Adventures Resort blends heart-pounding rides with exciting animal  encounters, making it the destination for one of the best theme park school trips near London. It’s this mix of thrills and animals that make our adventure school trips different – two experiences in one visit with no shuttling between separate venues.

Younger explorers enjoy gentle rides and magical attractions, while older pupils take on rollercoasters built for extra exhilaration. London school trips can enter the wild on ZUFARI. Our safari-style ride travels through the Wanyama Reserve, home to zebras, sitatungas and ostriches roaming in open habitats.

Add one of our STEAM-linked workshops and the day becomes full of curriculum-linked learning. Combining a zoo for schools with a fun theme park too, Chessington covers learning and adventure in a single visit. Explore our theme park and zoo before you book.

*£10.00 per student is based on a primary school visiting on an off-peak day.

Teacher Resources & Support

We know planning fun trips for schools takes work, so from first booking to home time, we provide school trip support. Every visit starts with a Schools Registration Form, handed to our Admissions team on the day and stored only in case of an emergency.

Once you’ve booked, we send two free planning tickets so you can visit before the big day and prepare with confidence. Our free risk assessment covers safeguarding and site safety, taking one task off your school trip planning list, alongside free teacher tickets – one for every 5 primary pupils, and one for every 10 secondary students.

For further support, our wild video resources and downloadable educational information sheet bring the learning into the classroom before and after your visit. Find teacher resources, risk assessments and more on our dedicated resources page.

We are proud to announce that we were a finalist for Best Education Workshops at the 2024 School Travel Awards, and recipients of the Learning Outside the Classroom (LOtC) Quality Badge, recognising our educational accreditation.
