Welcome to World of Jumanji - Now Open!

After much anticipation, we are delighted to announce that World of Jumanji was officially opened by Merlin Entertainments' CEO Scott O'Neil and Sony Pictures entertainment's EVP of Global Partnerships and Brand Management and Head of Location based entertainment, Jeffrey Godsick.

The team have worked incredibly hard not only on the design, build and implementation of the land, but also on the delivery of our exciting launch events and spectacular opening ceremony.

The land includes THREE new theme park rides, including the world’s ONLY Jumanji rollercoaster, Mandrill Mayhem. Packed with themed activities, get lost in the maze of pathways, enjoy delicious jungle themed refreshments and take home a reminder of your adventure from our Jumanji merchandise outlet.

MANDRILL MAYHEM

The first adventure, Mandrill Mayhem sweeps riders at 42mph on a hair-raising adventure, over Chessington’s first inversion, spiraling up the summit of the 55ft Jaguar Shrine. How about falling and braving the whole ride again, only this time, traveling backwards!

MAMBA STRIKE

On your next adventure, dodge the fangs of the black mamba on a dizzying, untameable ride in the heart of Juamanji. There’s not a moment to lose, adventurers must jump on and hold tight - the black mamba is about to strike!

OSTRICH STAMPEDE

Finally, swerve a herd of ostriches on this whirlwind trip. Ostriches may be flightless birds, but this is going to be a bumpy ride.

Mandril Mayhem Virtual Queuing

Mandrill Mayhem is only accessible via a virtual queue. This will reduce the physical queue time, so you can enjoy everything the Resort has to offer while you wait to ride the World’s only Jumanji rollercoaster. Virtual queuing is used in Theme Parks around the world and is an exciting first for Chessington.
