A unique and interactive dining experience set in the heart of a mystical ancient temple, where a fountain that was once the life force of the jungle is protected by the wildlife that call it home.

With the underground carefully looked after by leaf cutter ants, exotic trees guarded by monkeys, the skies protected by an array of birds and the rivers guarded by piranhas, this is a wild and magical setting like no other.

Savannah Splash

Discover an oasis in the middle of an African Savannah, and go wild in an immersive water splash play area perfect for families.

Please note: we welcome guests to bring their own towels and use the lockers provided within the changing rooms. Additionally, towel hire is available at the Savannah Splash welcome desk, the cost per towel is £2 per visit, a percentage of which will be donated to the Chessington Conservation Fund. Access to our Savannah Splash Pool is complimentary for those staying in a themed room in the Resort Hotels. Those staying in standard rooms can still use the facilities for a small additional fee payable at the Savannah Splash reception desk upon entry.

Exclusive evening access to AMAZU

Climb and play amongst the animals, high on a treetop walkway and through the home of our monkeys! Young adventurers embark on a quest to discover the mythical Temple of AMAZU, completing physical challenges and activities, that brings them even closer to the monkeys. Open until dusk.

Available every Friday and Saturday from April until mid-September and school holidays. Subject to good weather and ground conditions.

Zafari Bar & Grill

Our exciting menu gives you the opportunity to enjoy a wide range of dishes including vibrant salads and grilled meats.

Children will love spotting the cheeky monkeys and other animals adorning the walls. From your table, take in the views across the Wanyama Reserve where giraffe, zebra, antelope and other African species roam freely.

Zafari Bar & Grill opens for lunch everyday 12.30-2.45pm and opens for dinner 5pm-9.45pm.

Exclusive evening access to Wanyama Village & Reserve

Take an early evening stroll around a little piece of Africa, where zebra, giraffe and antelope roam freely on the Reserve, you’ll also be able to see our meerkats, lemurs and a whole host of other African species before they go to bed.

Available every Friday and Saturday from April until mid-September and school holidays. Subject to good weather and ground conditions.

Swimming pool and gym

Our 15 metre swimming pool is the ideal place to relax after a hard work out or to come and have fun with the family. The fully air conditioned gym has a good selection of Techogym equipment.

Access to our Savannah Splash Pool and Gym is complimentary for those staying in one of our Temple Summit and Temple Treasure Rooms as well as the Premium Themed rooms in the Safari Hotel.  Those staying in standard rooms can still use the facilities for a small additional fee payable at the Savannah Splash reception desk upon entry.

In order to maximise capacity we operate timed swim sessions during our peak periods, booking for sessions can be made within the facilities or over the phone on the day of arrival.  Those staying in our premium themed rooms that have complimentary access to the facilities are able to book their session 7 days in advance.

Please note, the Gym is just for use by persons aged 16 and over. Please wear appropriate gym attire and footwear and leave a few minutes extra to fill out a Physical Activity Readiness Questionnaire form. When using the pool, those under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult aged 18 or above and they must remain in the water with the child at all times.
During school holidays and weekends if the pool reaches capacity a waiting list will be put into effect and swimming will be limited to 45 minute sessions, there could be a waiting time so please contact the Leisure Club beforehand to check if this is the case.
