Ride Accessibility

Our rides and attractions have a variety of restrictions, which are put in place to ensure your safety.
Each ride and attraction has its own set of restrictions, which must be adhered to at all times, some of which are due to ride restraints, forces or sometimes due to additional requirements if the ride has stopped and guests are required to exit before reaching the station.

We offer a Ride Access Pass to guests who may find it difficult or cannot stand for long periods of time either due to a physical disability or a learning/emotional impairment.

Missing Limbs or Amputation Information

At Chessington World of Adventures Resort, we strive to accommodate as many guests as possible on our various rides and attractions. However, for your safety, each attraction has specific requirements for individuals with limb differences.

Please note that you must have a minimum of three full limbs to participate in all rides and attractions, with the exceptions of adventure tree carousel, barrel bail out, Elmer's flying jumbos, jungle rangers, Room on the broom, Sea Dragons, Sea Storm,Tiny truckers and tuk tuk turmoil.

We also want to make you aware that all guests, regardless of limb differences, must meet the height requirements specified for each ride.

Ride Access Pass

We offer a Ride Access Pass which operates as an online virtual queuing system on a smartphone. This is offered to guests who may find it difficult or cannot stand for long periods of time either due to a physical disability or a learning/emotional impairment. However, this system does not operate as an alternative to Fast Track and there may still be an element of queuing.

RESORT FACILITIES

Toilets

A number of our toilets across the Resort have access for guests with wheelchairs or additional needs and can be found on the Chessington World of Adventures Resort App.

Toilets with disabled access are available throughout the Park.  These are located in the following areas.

  • Lodge Gate
  • Shipwreck Coast
  • Adventure Point
  • Wild Wood
  • Forbidden Kingdom

We also have a dedicated ‘Changing Place’ at the Resort located in Shipwreck Coast with a height adjustable changing bench, shower, toilet and a hoist. To access, please use a RADAR key, which if you don’t have one of your own, can be collected on loan from Ride Access Pass Information Hub & Information in Adventure Point. A refundable deposit of £10 is required to hire a RADAR key for the day.

RIDE ACCESS PASS INFORMATION HUB & INFORMATION

Located in Adventure Point, this should be your first port of call. The Ride Access Pass Information Hub and Information Team can offer advice on ride access and restrictions, issue Ride Access Passes after a successful application (conditions apply) and provide further information on facilities.

First Aid

This is located in Forbidden Kingdom, next to the entrance to ZUFARI: Ride into Africa! As well as cold storage for medicines, there’s facilities for those who may require medical attention during their visit.

Hire Options

Wheelchair Hire

Wheelchair hire is available from Lodge Gate and is charged at £10 per day, plus a £50 fully refundable pre-authorisation on a credit or debit card. Registered disabled guests with documented proof may hire a wheelchair free of charge, but a £50 pre-authorisation will still apply - please speak to a member of staff on your visit for more information. All wheelchairs and mobility scooters are standard dimensions.

Wheelchairs are subject to availability so we would suggest that guests who need a wheelchair to travel around the Theme Park bring their own for ease and certainty. Please note, due to the very hilly nature of our site, this can make powered buggies very unstable. Please take extra care when using them.

Mobility Scooter Hire

Mobility Scooter hire is available from Lodge Gate and is charged at £35 per day plus a £50 fully refundable pre-authorisation on a credit or debit card.

Please note that you are welcome to bring your own mobility scooter to the Resort, but they are unable to be brought into ride queue lines and therefore must be left outside of the ride.

Pushchairs and Buggy Hire

We have a selection of colourful buggies for hire at Lodge Gate or Explorer Gate. Single buggies cost £10 and double buggies cost £15. Please be aware that our buggies are not suitable for babies and are subject to availability - you are unable to pre-book buggy hire for your visit.

Please be advised you may be asked to leave pushchairs and buggies in our designated buggy park prior to entering SEA LIFE due to the nature of this attraction.
