Chessington Zoo Days
Saturday & Sundays from 5th Nov 2011 to 11th Mar 2012

Discover a number of amazing animal experiences as you journey through Chessington Zoo and Chessington's SEA LIFE centre.
Come face to face with lions, tigers and gorillas as you venture through Trail of the Kings. Go underwater with sharks and stingrays in the SEA LIFE centre and don't forget to visit the new Wanyama Village & Reserve, where Grevy’s Zebra and the rare Scimitar Horned Oryx roams freely before your very eyes.
That’s not all! With Hocus Pocus Hall, Bubbleworks and Seastorm* also available, there’s lots to see and do at Chessington!

African Adventures
11th - 19th Feb 2012
Get ready for a taste of Africa at Chessington as African Adventures returns for February half term with special appearances from your favourite NOISY lion, Raa Raa!
Explore and enjoy African culture with face mask decorating, jewellery making, African inspired dance and song, face painting and African drumming and of course meet lots of African animals amongst the 200 species at the Zoo. That’s not all! With Hocus Pocus Hall, Bubbleworks and Seastorm* also available, there’s lots to see and do at Chessington!.
After an action packed day, kids can join the Movie Club or play in the Wii Lounge at the resort hotel whilst adults can relax in the Zafari Bar & Grill for a truly African experience. Adults can also try a spot of African wine tasting looking out over the Wanyama Village & Reserve where Zebras, Sitatungas, Gazelles, Oryx and Ostriches roam.
Do you want to get into the African mood? Try making your Raa Raa African mask at home and bring it to Chessington to show Raa Raa.

Phobia Workshops
Overcome your fear of Spiders at Chessington World of Adventures Resort – Join us at one of our limited number of Phobia Workshop courses.
Each workshop will take place in small groups and feature a variety of techniques designed to help instil confidence into participants and assist them in eliminating their fear of spiders, learning to overcome their phobia once and for all.
The session begins with a presentation from expert hypnotherapists, "Mind You", providing expert insights and background into what phobias are and how they can be triggered. Chessington’s resident spider expert, Keith Russell, will also be on hand to communicate the facts and disperse the myths that surround spiders.
Price: £75 per person
Participants per workshop: 10
Schedule (timings subject to change):
- 2:45pm: Arrive at the Chessington Resort Hotel Conference Suite. Tea, coffee and biscuits served.
- 3:00pm: What is a phobia? Presentation and group Q & A session with “Mind You Therapy”.
- 3.45pm: Everything you ever wanted to know about spiders. Talk and Q&A session presented by Keith Russell.
- 4:15pm: What is hypnosis?
- 4:30pm: Progressive Muscle Relaxation session.
- 4:45pm: Break - tea, coffee and biscuits served.
- 5:00pm: Group hypnosis session.
- 5.45pm: Optional meeting with spiders.
- 6.15pm: Presentation of certificate of completion.
- 6.30pm: Optional visit to the Zoo's Creepy Caves to see our display spiders and other insects and reptiles.
- 7.00pm: Programme finishes.
