NO MONKEY BUSINESS HERE!

Chessington World of Adventures Resort has been forced to advise customers not to take its new 'Go Ape' attraction so literally, as the sound of guests doing 'chimpressions' is confusing the Park's real primates.

Perhaps inspired by the recent release of the Tarzan movie, guests visiting the brand new Go Ape site at Chessington, have been whooping and hollering at such volume that the resident monkeys in the Resorts’ Zoo have been found reacting to this. Monkeys have been recorded trying to mimic the noises coming from Go Ape, while apes have been seen patrolling their areas to mark their territory.

The Resort has now installed a number of signs asking guests to be mindful of their primate cousins while enjoying the attraction. Furthermore, the Zoo has announced a complete ban on replicating Tarzan's call - which has caused the most reaction from resident monkeys.

Tadhg Randall from the Go Ape team at Chessington comments, "It's normally the noises from the animals we monitor, but in this instance it's the humans we need to keep an eye on. While we don't want to place a ban on having fun, it's always important to respect the residents' wishes. Our message to our guests is simple – when full of excitement, please try and have consideration for the animals."

Go Ape at Chessington plays host to the UK's first four-man zip wire where the whole family** will be able to enjoy the treetop adventure together, as they soar through the woodland side by side.

An Adventure for the Whole Family this Summer!

With two fantastic courses available in one location – Tree Top Adventure and Tree Top Junior – anyone over 1m can enjoy taking part, meaning the whole family can Go Ape together.

Within the Tree Top Adventure course, adventurous tribes can enjoy two to three hours in the trees, taking on zip wires, Tarzan swings, rope ladders and a variety of obstacles and crossings. For mini Tarzans, the Tree Top Junior* course is ideal - offering a fun filled hour of tree-to-tree crossings, finishing with a zip line finale.

Education Centre

With the Woodland Discovery Centre providing educational workshops, mini Tarzans and Baboons will be able to take a step out of the classroom and into the canopy to develop their learning and real life experiences in a way like no other.
