Head to the Roar and Explore evening at Chessington World of Adventures Resort on Saturday 25th June 2016 in support of the Chessington Conservation Fund (CCF) which was launched in 2011 with the aim of protecting nature’s future through conservation work and education within the local community and worldwide.
What is Roar and Explore?
After the theme park has closed its gates for the day, from 6pm until dusk the Resort will re-open for an evening of fun and activities. Visit the Zoo and Wanyama Village & Reserve seeing the animal residents like our giraffe and gorillas well in to the evening; watch exciting animal presentations and take part in an auction with some amazing prizes up for grabs like our incredible VIP animal feeding experiences.
Having been re-launched in 2015, the Roar and Explore evening is a family-fun event with plenty of exciting activities for all ages to enjoy. New for 2016 see one of our animatronic baby pandas roaming the Resort with his keeper; collect yourself a new popbadge launching exclusively for this event; purchase some delicious taster meals at the new Smokehouse BBQ restaurant; visit the re-vamped Trail of the Kings area and meet our new male Asiatic lion Kamal.

Under 5’s go free and all ticket proceeds will go directly to the CCF, which aims to protect the future of wildlife locally and worldwide. Capacity is limited, so please pre-book tickets now to avoid disappointment www.chessington.com/roar
Other activities running for Roar and Explore include a Tombola stand with some great prizes up for grabs or go one step further and help us build some ‘Bug Hotels’ to encourage the wildlife here at Chessington.
Thanks to the support of our guests last year, the evening raised £11,160 meaning that the CCF has been able to work hard protecting animals and wildlife that we are so passionate
about in places like Ecuador and Zimbabwe. Look out for stands from partner charities like the Surrey Wildlife Trust raising awareness for our local wildlife as well as our own CCFstand highlighting the conservation work we’ve done with the likes of the Dambari Wildlife Trust supporting them in the protection of the endangered White Rhino.
With so many exciting activities available it’s set to be an evening to remember – and all for a good cause. We hope to see you there!
Why not Go Ape as well!
While you’re getting in to the swing of things, why not unleash your inner Tarzan and try out our brand new Go Ape at Chessington World of Adventures Resort. Open now, the Tree Top Junior course allows adults as well as children (as young as 6 but who are atleast 1m tall) to swing through the trees. Mini Tarzans can spend a fun filled hour of canopy exploring, trail blazing and negotiating obstacles. To complete the course, participants finish with an awesome zip line finale and all will receive their very own personalised certificate. It’s just as much fun for adults too so parents or supervising adults can join their Mini Tarzans for the fun filled hour in the trees, or supervise from the ground.
What’s more in mid-July, 2016, the opening of the new Go Ape Tree Top Adventure – for adults and children over 10 - will see two fantastic courses available in one location meaning the whole family can Go Ape together!
