How to Enter

  • Choose an animal.
  • Take the photo.
  • Write down your name, age and one interesting fact about the animal you chose.
  • Email all the info and the photo to us by clicking here.

All budding photographers are invited to send their ‘Animal Snaps’ and one interesting fact about their chosen animal to Chessington World of Adventures & Zoo for a chance to be selected as the Animal Snapper of the month.

Every month up until 31st October 2008, two photos will be selected, one from the ‘Under 12 years' category and one from the ‘12 years and over' category. The photos will be uploaded to this page and one winner from both categories will win an Amazing Animal Experience* and two complimentary tickets to the park.

To enter, all images must be emailed to animalsnaps@chessington.com with the name of the photographer, age and one interesting fact about the chosen animal for a chance to win so when you’re visiting Chessington Zoo, start investigating!

Terms and Conditions

  1. Maximum One Entry per person.

  2. Entrants will be placed in appropriate category (Under 12 years / 12 years and over) dependent on age of entrant at time on entry.

  3. Photographs must be taken of animals within the grounds of Chessington World of Adventures & Zoo only.

  4. All monthly entries must be received by, and including the 28th day of each month. The overall closing date of the competition is 31/10/08, when an overall winner will be decided. Winners will be notified within 10 days of the competition close dates.

  5. At the end of every month the photographs entered for that month will be judged, and a winner picked who will receive an Amazing Animal Experience*. At the close of the competition all monthly winners will compete against each other as photographs are reassessed for an overall winner, who will receive a Chessington Family Annual Pass and an Amazing Animal experience.

  6. Chessington World of Adventures & Zoo owns the right to all photographs submitted and therefore has the right to use the photographs in all marketing, PR or promotional materials, in digital and printed form, without charge at any time.

  7. Entrants under 12 years of age must have permission from a parent or guardian prior to entering the competition.

  8. Please respect our animals and other guests through your discretion. Do not obstruct the views of others, nor intimidate the animals at any time. Any actions that may cause the animals distress will not be tolerated under any circumstances.

  9. The first prize is a Chessintgon Family Annual Pass which consists of two Chessington adult Annual Passes (12 years of age and over) and two Chessington Child Annual Passes  (1 meter- 11 years old) or one Chessintgon adult Annual Pass and two Chessington child Annual Passes. Chessington Annual Passes are non transferable, cannot be sold or given to third parties. Chessington Annual Passes are valid for 12 months from the date of issue.
